Summary:
Disney Streaming Services (DSS) is looking for a hardworking Lead Software Engineer to define the technical vision and solution for Payment Fraud.
In this role, you will drive highly critical work of mitigating risk by building solutions to identify, prevent and catch payment fraud.
As an early founding team member, you will have a chance to create and build the system from the ground up as well as pave the architecture path for others to follow in the future.
This role is highly multi-functional in nature and requires working with Product, Information Security, Data, Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, and various other functions across the company.
Responsibilities:
Craft and implement large-scale distributed systems to help tackle fraud.
Implement systems in Object-Oriented languages like Java, Scala, Kotlin, and others.
Use AWS products and services to deploy and handle multi-faceted systems.
Work on relational and/or NoSQL databases to ingest data and also output to other systems for analytics.
Basic
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability in software engineering building sophisticated and highly impactful systems.
Previous experience taking ownership of features/functionality and delivering projects end-to-end with high quality and robust architecture.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-functional business partnersAbility to dive deep into any technical component as well as understand and drive the overall systems architecture.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
