Please note that the position requires reporting to our office in Jamaica, Queens.
This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
Check and enter invoices into system.
Match packing slips and invoices.
Handle invoice reconciliations and discrepancy investigations.
Respond to vendor inquires and review and reconcile vendor statements.
Manage administrative duties for billing department, such as filing and updating records.
Data entry, including reviewing and scanning.
Maintain filing systems as assigned.
Answer and transfer phone calls, screening when necessary.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Knowledge of QuickBooks.
Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
Ability to work independently.
Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
Ability to operate general office equipment.
Ability to maintain confidential information.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
